PARENTS AND TEACHERS OF LUTHERAN SCHOOLS
The PTLS is a volunteer organization comprised of the parents and teachers of every student. It is a way for parents to stay in active contact with their child’s teachers and find ways to improve and enhance their child’s Christian walk here at Trinity Lutheran School, Rantoul.
There are many ways to become actively involved in PTLS. It is our main focus to give support to the school’s faculty and children by organizing events that directly involve the school and it’s student body. We are here to support and encourage each other and in the process enhance our children’s experience at Trinity.
Many projects of the PTLS include fundraising to raise money for items like: updated library materials, computers and software, bus rentals for field trips, money for the 6th-8th grade end-of-year trip, field trips for all students, gifts for coaches and teachers, Trinity theme t-shirts for the students, student yearbooks, and many more.
A few of the primary fundraising projects we sponsor are: concessions for home basketball games, the annual soup dinner, and the school carnival.
We are always looking for fresh ideas and welcome any input you may have. Remember, we are all part of the PTLS!
There are meetings five times a year: August, September, November, March (after the science/art fair) and May (at the school picnic). Please try to attend the meetings!!
